Amazon Fashion

UX Design Manager | Mar 2022 – Present

Sr. UX Designer | Nov 2020 – Mar 2022

I lead design at the intersection of experience design, fashion, and technology. Specifically, I oversee Virtual Try-On, Profile, and Fit programs, managing multi-disciplined designers. I build awareness of inclusive design by creating an internal online learning course for Amazon. I raise design maturity in the organization by setting design principles and team mechanisms with product leaders.

 

Barbarian | Experience Creative Director | Feb 2019 – Present

As the head of the Barbarian experience design department, I lead digital products, platforms, and services for clients such as Samsung, K-Y, Kiehl’s, and Mucinex. I set creative department processes and run internal XD workshops to strengthen our internal design knowledge. I am responsible for running the agency’s new business pitches and have brought new clients to the agency’s roster. Day to day, I focus on cultivating healthy and productive relationships with clients and internal teams, provide creative direction on projects, and oversee the quality of creative outcome.

I led and successfully launched seven New Ventures Tech products with a clear product vision and value proposition. My work was recognized for its quality by clients and development teams. R&D PN’s vendor, Nearform, commented on the design, “It’s rare to work with a design this good.”

I contributed on an organizational level by creating the NVT build process and partnered with product managers and senior agile coaches to shape the process. 

R/GA | Senior Experience Designer | Nov 2015 – Nov 2017

As a lead XD for Samsung, Mercedes, Verizon and R/GA accelerator programs, I worked with various capabilities to create actionable strategies, executable concepts and brought user-focused experiences to life. I worked closely with my development team to make sure implementations were true to the vision. 

KATAPULT (Betaworks company) | Lead Product Designer | Feb 2015 - Dec 2015

As a sole product designer in the company, I oversaw and executed the entire design process from UX to Visual. Produced an iOS app, FLIP that makes 2D drawings into 3D animated gifs. Built a sandbox video game, CHKN and a fitness iOS app, Aiko.

Focused on UX/UI for mobile, web, wearable and connected devices for Fossil, E*Trade, PwC, AARP and others.

Microsoft Research Fuse Labs | ITP Student Researcher at Design & Prototyping Group | Sept 2013 - Dec 2013

Experimented with NYC 311 open data to build a prototype that understands dynamic emotional states of New York City neighborhoods.

NiCE Ltd. | Senior Designer | Jul 2008 - Aug 2012

As a lead brand designer, I was responsible for all aspects of strategic branding and development of design concepts, starting from concepts, mood boards, packaging, web development, to instore graphics. Major clients included Max Factor, COVERGIRL, Dolce & Gabbana, Dunhill, Head&Shoulders among others.
